John Regehr's Personal Page

I'm a computer science professor at the University of Utah, where my work web site lives.

Outside of work, my life revolves my wife Sarah and our boys Isaac and Jonas:

When time permits I read, travel, hack, argue, cook, hike, bike, and hang out with friends.

My brother Eric does polar bear research for the US Fish and Wildlife Service. He is based in Anchorage but spends a lot of time doing field work in the arctic. Here's a brief article and a more detailed one about his work. Our parents are retired from regular jobs but keep busy running a farm near Riley, KS.

In August 2009 Eric and I went on a 10-day backpacking trip in the Brooks Range. Bill made an album about this trip, and some of the panoramas that I shot came out pretty well. There is also a Facebook album but it won't work unless you're logged into FB.

Here are a few random, long-neglected pages.
