A cloudy day in the Wasatch, slightly below 11,000'. This picture was
taken from the base of the summit ridge of the Pfeifferhorn looking
East over Alpine Ridge, which we had just traversed. Maybird Gulch is
down and to the left and Dry Creek Canyon is to the right. June 2002.
Looking straight down Hogum Divide from just below the summit ridge of
the Pfeifferhorn. Hogum Fork is out of sight to the left of the ridge
and Maybird Gulch is visible to the right. Directly across the
canyon, the Broads Fork Twins and a couple of other peaks stick up
into the clouds. June 2002.
Here a picture taken over a year later (Sep 2003) of me pointing at
the Pfeifferhorn from Cottonwood Ridge. The normal route is along
Alpine Ridge (to the left of the peak) and then up the face very close
to the visible skyline.
